REPN is basketball inspired training, HIIT style. We call it High Intensity Hoops. Founded by professional basketballer Lucas Walker, REPN workouts fuse together cardio, agility, speed and strength movements with basketball skills and drills. The result is a challenging but fun way to improve your basketball game, while building your fitness and strength all at once.
Absolutely - if you have an interest in health, fitness or basketball, REPN is for you. REPN is designed to accommodate all levels of skill, from basketball rookies to the elite. To make the most of your first time, we ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes early so your coach can give you a quick brief of how the session will work.
We recommend 1-2 sessions on court per week for the average baller, but if you’re really looking to up your game you can test yourself with more. REPN athletes train to excel and train smart. Player loading is essential in optimising performance and our experienced coaches can provide individual recommendations as required.
The outcomes of the program will vary from person to person. With commitment and drive, you will see improvements in your fitness and your basketball game however nothing in the fitness or basketball world is guaranteed when it comes to outcomes. One thing REPN believes is that there are no shortcuts to achieving your best and nothing beats hard work.
You should wear comfortable, athletic gear that you’re happy to sweat in! You will also need to be in supportive running/athletic, non-marking shoes as you will be training on the court.
All you need to bring with you is a sweat towel and water – don’t forget the water!
Your credits cannot be exchanged for cash back. Drop-in purchasers can hang on to credits for up to 30 days before they expire. If you have an illness, injury or any other extenuating circumstances that will prevent you from using your session credits within 30 days, please email info@repn.com.au and we will review your request for a refund.
At this time our memberships and credits are location-specific, meaning if you have purchased a membership at Sutherland, you must use all of these sessions at that location. If you are travelling or would like to try out a new Block location, you can purchase additional sessions at their drop-in rate.
Unfortunately you cannot transfer your sessions to a friend or family member at this time.
REPN offers a variety of purchasing options. You can purchase a one-off drop in session for $30 or you can purchase one of our weekly membership options so you can plan your workouts better. REPN offers 3-month and 12-month membership packages, with options to participate in 1 or 2 sessions per week. Our members also get a better drop-in rate if they want to purchase additional workouts. Please refer to our membership options at repn.com.au/memberships for all the details.
If you are outside the 12-hour cancellation window, you can always switch to another class that’s not already sold out. If you need to move your booking — but there are less than 12 hours until your scheduled class — that’s considered a cancellation and the above policy would apply.
If the session you want is sold out, you can be added to our wait list. As people cancel, you will be automatically subbed in, in the order you signed up. If you secure a spot more than 12 hours before the scheduled start time of a session, we will notify you by email.
We ask that you please respect the coaches and how much time and planning goes into putting together a great workout for a team. The coaches need to give a full rundown of everything that is going into the workout – this can only be completed once, it’s hard work! This is why we ask that you please show up to class at least 10 minutes prior to tip off time so you understand what the training involves and how to get the most out of the session. If you are more than 5 minutes late to your session, you will unfortunately not be able to take part as this will interrupt the flow of the work for your team members.
The fortnightly schedule for each Block will be posted on the REPN scheduling page every second Saturday. You will be able to book your spot in any of the sessions on the calendar that suit you.
If you book a class and don’t show up, you’ll forfeit the class from your account.
We ask that if you are unable to make it to your session, you cancel prior to 12 hours of your session commencing. This allows us to add someone who may be eyeing off a spot on the court! For drop-in purchasers, if you cancel prior to 12 hours of class tip-off, you will have the session credited back to your account to be used within 30 days. If a member cancels prior to 12 hours they will be able to rebook any available classes within that same week. Any unused weekly credits for members will not be carried over to the following week. Cancellations inside the 12-hour window will be considered a late cancellation, and this session will be forfeited from an account. We don’t charge any additional fees on top of this.
REPN sessions will be available for booking in September. You can only book your spot in a REPN session through our website scheduling page. Please review the timetable in your preferred Block location and book your spot with your available credits.
Most likely! We are always on the lookout for new locations to place a REPN Block. If you think people would love REPN where you are, feel free to let us know on the Contact Us page, and we will keep consideration of this for future planning. If you have any further questions, please reach out to info@repn.com.au and a team member will assist you.
Right now, REPN is open to those aged 14 and over. Anyone under 18 will need to have a guardian aged over 18 sign a consent form with their standard waiver.
Given that all REPN classes take part on a basketball court, there is limited space or facilities for you to bring along your valuable items. We ask that you please only bring along the essentials needed for exercise, with any other items being placed in an area where you and the coaches and staff can keep an eye on it.
In the spirit of reconciliation REPN acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia on which we operate, and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
